Hi! I'm Julie

My passion is dance and fitness and I LOVE that my job is being able to share this through my teaching. My job never feels like work!

I started dancing at the age of 3 and have training and exams in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Latin, Ballroom, Old Time and Line. I’m qualified as a UK Dance Council teacher and competitions judge, and as a Level 2 Group Fitness Instructor (ETM).

I've over 20 years’ experience in teaching Line dance, instructing social community classes from beginners’ level to advanced, as well as successfully training competitive students at World and European championship levels. I’m a former World Dance Masters World's Champion (2008/2009) and European champion myself!

I have also been teaching FitSteps community classes as a Pioneer instructor since the inception of the brand in 2013 and still have many clients attending classes with me since the start! I'm qualified in all FitSteps programs including FitSteps ORIGINAL, FitSteps F.A.B, FitSteps TONE and FitSteps CHAIR.

My classes reflect my personality and dance background and utilise my knowledge and experience of both dance and fitness instructing to give you the best of both worlds. I'm a firm believer that whatever your choice of class to keep you motivated and WANT to exercise it absolutely must be fun!

When I'm not teaching, I love being outdoors. I’m also a bit of a geek, my previous career was in I.T! As a person with Meniere’s Disease, I fully understand how a lifelong condition (especially balance issues) can impact your exercise goals!

We love any excuse in class for a themed class or a social get together! You won't just be joining a dance/fitness class, you'll become part of our community. Many firm friendships are made at my classes. The hardest part is walking through the door that first time, but you'll be glad you did.

I hope to meet you on a dance floor soon.
