A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME & MY CLASSES

profile b&w.jpg

Hi! I'm Julie

My passion is dance and fitness and I LOVE that my job is being able to share this through my teaching. My job never feels like work!

I'm a trained dancer (having started dancing at the age of 3) with training in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Latin, Ballroom, Old Time and Line, and also a UK Dance Council qualified teacher and competitions judge. I had previously taught line dance classes for adults for North Lincolnshire Council, commencing 2004, and was delighted to be asked to deliver FitSteps sessions for the Council as part of the Active Together programme launching with the "Get Dancing" event at the Baths Hall in 2014. Initially these funded classes were intended to run for 6 weeks, but continued until 2017 due to their success!

I have been teaching FitSteps classes as a community instructor since the inception of the brand in 2013. I'm a pioneer licensed FitSteps instructor and have many clients still attending classes with me since then! I'm qualified in the FitSteps ORIGINAL, FitSteps F.A.B, FitSteps TONE, FitStep CHAIR programs. I'm also a qualified Level 2 Fitness Instructor in Exercise to Music/Group Exercise instructor so you are in safe hands!

As former World Dance Masters World's Champion (2008/2009) myself and having successfully trained students at World and European championship levels, I can help you achieve your own dance fitness goals. My classes definitely reflect my personality and dance background, and utilise my knowledge and experience of both dance and fitness instructing to give you the best of both worlds. I'm a firm believer that whatever your choice of class to keep you motivated and WANT to exercise it absolutely must be fun! Whether you choose a gentler line dance class or a FitSteps class that makes you feel those muscles my social and friendly classes are sure to put a smile on your face.

As you can see from the photo gallery we love any excuse for a themed class or a social get together! You won't just be joining a dance/fitness class, you'll become part of our community. Many firm friendships are made at my classes. The hardest part is walking through the door that first time, but you'll be glad you did.

I hope to meet you on a dance floor soon!
